Mentor coaching for coaches pursuing or renewing an ICF credential
Strengthen your coaching and prepare with confidence for ACC or PCC review.
Mentor coaching helps you meet ICF requirements while strengthening how the competencies show up in your coaching practice. Mentor coaching hours can be applied toward ICF credential applications or renewal requirements.
Mentor coaching can help you
- Meet ICF mentor coaching requirements for credential application or renewal
- Understand what assessors are listening for in credential review conversations
- Receive detailed feedback aligned with ACC or PCC markers
- Identify strengths and areas for development in your coaching
- Prepare recordings for submission if relevant to your application path
- Navigate the credentialing process with greater clarity and confidence
Format
I offer mentor coaching individually. You can complete the 10 mentor coaching hours required for credential application or renewal with me, or schedule only the number of hours you need. The number of sessions depends on what you need. After we talk about what you’re working toward, I can suggest an approach and pricing that fits.
How mentor coaching sessions are structured
Mentor coaching sessions focus on how the ICF competencies are expressed in your coaching conversations and how they are interpreted in credential review.
Depending on your goals, sessions may include:
- Reviewing excerpts from recordings together
- Practising coaching and reflecting on the competencies in real time
- Taking a closer look at a specific competency you want to strengthen
- Bringing tools or approaches you are using and connecting these more clearly to the markers
In our work together, we look closely at what is already working in your coaching and where small adjustments can strengthen your readiness for ACC or PCC review.
My experience as a mentor coach
I have been a PCC since 2023 and completed PCC Marker Assessor training with the International Coaching Federation in 2024.
My mentor coaching experience includes:
- Completion of an ICF-accredited Mentor Coach Practitioner program
- Mentor coaching with the Hornick School of Coaching (individual and group)
- Mentor coaching for Coaching@UBC
- Assessment of coaching recordings for the Certificate in Organizational Coaching
- Reviewing recordings using the same markers applied in PCC-level assessment
- Individual mentor coaching with coaches through my private practice
This experience allows me to offer feedback that is closely aligned with credential expectations, while also helping coaches see what the competencies look like in their own practice and how their coaching is already working.
“I’m so grateful to have worked with Isabeau as my mentor coach during my ACC renewal process. She provided nonjudgmental support as we explored specific ways for me to grow and develop, both within the ICF core competencies and in areas unique to my work in higher education. I appreciated her insightful feedback on my recorded coaching sessions as well as her guidance in intentionally aligning my strengths (CliftonStrengths) with my coaching practice. Her support as a trusted mentor and as a coach were both critical at this stage of my coaching journey, as I eventually work towards the PCC credential.”
